About Robyn

Cross Sea Movement is managed by Robyn Breen, who's been a movement educator for over 18 years. Robyn started teaching dance as a teenager, before taking her first Pilates Teacher Training Course in 2007. She holds a BFA (Honours) in Dance from York University, and is a graduate of the School of Toronto Dance Theatre (now known as Dance Arts Institute).

Robyn loves sharing information and her teaching style encourages agency for each student to move in their own unique way that suits their own unique needs. Her movement teaching practice crosses over with her dance work as an embodiment coach, where Robyn supports fellow performers and movement makers by offering guidance throughout their creative process to enhance the performing body.

Robyn is always learning.

This site is managed by Robyn Breen. I am currently living and working on the island where I was born and raised, Ktaqmkuk, colonially known as Newfoundland. This island is the ancestral homelands of the Beothuk, whose culture has been forever erased. This island is also the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq. I am grateful to consider this land my home and am committed to working on my allyship with the original and ongoing caretakers of this beautiful place.

As many of the services offered through this website takes place online, we are also indebted to the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe, whose homelands are where the Zoom Headquarters are situated (San Jose, California). To learn more about where you live and work, visit native-land.ca
